I want to know if the Audio Plus 3200 V.1/V.2/Wave can be used as a Full Duplex sound card with Internet Telephony programs such as Webtalk (from Quarterdeck) or Internet Phone (from Vocaltec)?

No the Audio Plus 3200 V.1 or the Audio Plus 3200 V.2 or the Audio Plus 3200 Wave do not support FULL DUPLEX.

Does the Audio Plus 3200 V.1/V.2/Wave support Windows NT?

No. Zoltrix does not currently supply drivers or Tech Support for Windows NT. There are currently no plans to offer support in the future.

Why won't my microphone work in my Audio Plus 3200 V.1/V.2/Wave?

The Audio Plus 3200 V.1 only supports a dynamic microphone. You cannot use a condenser microphone with this model.

My Audio Plus 3200 V.1/V.2/Wave functions well in my old 486 motherboard, but when I upgraded my motherboard to a Pentium 100 with PnP, the card failed. Why?

The Audio Plus 3200 V.1, V.2 and Wave uses DMA 0 and IRQ 10 in Windows. You must use your systems BIOS setup program to assign the DMA channels and IRQ's that the sound card is using to the ISA bus, otherwise the sound card will not function correctly.

I'm using a Pentium 133 system. My Audio Plus 3200 V.1/V.2/Wave functions well except the APTEST.EXE program always reports a DMA error. Is this a problem with my motherboard or the Audio Plus 3200?

The APTEST.EXE program will not function in a Pentium 120 or faster. This will not affect operation of the sound card.

Now that I have installed my Audio Plus 3200 V.1/V.2/Wave, my Joystick no longer works. What could be the problem?

If you already have a joystick attached to a game port on your computer

If you have attached the joystick to the game port on the sound card Using MSD to determine if a game port is installed on the computer

Before running MSD, you should remove the sound card from the computer.

Why is the volume so low on my sound card?

Sound Card Q & A's (Windows 95)

How do I setup my Zoltrix sound card in Windows 95?

You may install the Windows 95 Sound Blaster driver for 8 bit sound cards. But, the best method for the 16 bit Audio Plus 3200 V.1/V.2/Wave sound cards is to use the Win 3.1 drivers included with the sound card. Use the following basic instructions to install the driver.

Installation on the Win 3.1 Real mode sound drivers.

I'm using Windows 3.1 now and my Audio Plus 3200 V.1/V.2/Wave sound card functions well. Now I want to upgrade to Windows 95. Are there any special precautions I should take before upgrading?

No! Install Windows 95 over your existing Windows 3.1 directory and Windows 95 will handle it all.

I'm using the real mode Windows 3.1 drivers. Will the real mode drivers affect Windows 95 performance?

They should not. The ability of using real mode drivers is one of the specifications of the Windows 95 operating system. If Windows 95 reports that the MIX program is forcing MS DOS compatibility mode, you need to run the MIX program from the DOS prompt and select NO RESIDENT when you save and exit the program. The MS DOS compatibility mode is forced when the DOS mix program is loaded as a TSR into the memory. When selecting NO RESIDENT the MIX program will not be loaded as a TSR into the memory.

I'm using the real mode Windows 3.1 drivers. When I check the Control Panel/System/Device Manager, I do not see any sound, video and game controller drivers installed. What's the problem?

Nothing! You can not see that a Windows 3.1 Sound Card driver is installed from the Control Panel/System/Device Manager/Sound,video and game controllers like you can see a Win 95 Sound Card driver.

You can see the Windows 3.1 drivers from the Control Panel/Multi Media/Advanced.

Note: Do not attempt to change the settings in from the Control Panel. The settings should be changed with hardware jumpers or the supplied software.

I have followed the instructions in setting up the real mode sound driver in Win95 and it still does not work, what should I do?

You should check to see if you motherboard is PCI or especially PnP motherboards. The Audio Plus 3200 series uses DMA0 and IRQ10 in Windows. You must use your systems BIOS setup program to assign the DMA channels and IRQ's that the sound card is using to the ISA bus, otherwise the Audio Plus 3200 will not function correctly.

I don't want to use the real mode Windows 3.1 drivers. Will the Audio Plus 3200 V.1/V.2/Wave work with other Windows 95 sound card drivers?

You may select the Sound Blaster or the Sound Blaster Pro in Windows 95, but the Win95 mixer may not operate and the Sound Blaster Pro driver will put the card in 8-bit operation.

Click on the following links for instructions for setting up your Zoltrix sound card as a Sound Blaster or as a Sound Blaster Pro in Windows 95.
