Installation instructions:

     
  1. After downloading the file, run the zx84823d.exe program to unzip the files to an empty folder or directory on the hard drive. (If you cannot locate the file you downloaded, use the Windows Find command to search for the zx84823d.exe program on your hard disk.)
  2. Remove the old drivers using the NUKE848.EXE program found on this page and reboot.
  3. When Windows detects the card and requests drivers, point Windows to the location you unzipped the files to above.

Capture card driver patch

This program will fix a incompatibility problem using the capture card on a motherboard using the SiS (5511, 5596, 5597 and 5598) chip sets. It will install a program to be executed in the AUTOEXEC.BAT. The program will be run on every upon boot and it will modify the motherboard PCI configuration. There is no harm to run this program in non SIS motherboard, the program will detect the chip set before setting any register.

Installation instructions:

     
  1. After downloading the file, run the 848sispatch.exe program and follow the onscreen instructions. (If you cannot locate the file you downloaded, use the Windows Find command to search for the 848sispatch.exe program on your hard disk.)
  2. Reboot the computer and the patch installation is completed.

Use the Win95 drivers. The Windows 95 drivers do not support Windows 98 new WDM drivers format, but do operate in Windows 98.

Run this program to completely remove all 848 related inf files and registry keys if upgrading your Capture card drivers. This is required otherwise the old driver will be detected and not allow you to select the location of the new drivers.

  2. Shut down to remove the card or reboot the computer to install a new driver.
