• Microsoft now recommend all Windows user (except XP) to download the Video Capture Update for DirectX 8.0 at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/downloads/vidcap.asp
• The Genie TV Hardware Remote SDK has been released. It is the program for people who want to write program to access the Genie TV hardware remote control for their own purpose.
• The Genie TV SDK has been released. Click here to dump to the drivers below.
• GenieTV WDM driver and TV is now released with new features.

Windows 95 / 98 (recommended) Driver and Application Software
(Remark: It works from Windows 95 to Windows ME)

1. 1. After downloading the file, unzip the GTV_VxD_1420.zip to an empty folder or directory on the hard drive. (If you cannot locate the file you downloaded, use the Windows Find command to search for the GTV_VxD_1420.zip on your hard disk).
2. Uninstall any previous Genie TV application in the Add/Remove Program feature and also run the RMdrv.exe to remove the driver. Reboot, if necessary.
3. When Windows starts, driver will be required. Then click "CANCEL" and do not let Windows to detect it.
4. Run the setup.exe program and follow the instruction. Several reboots will be required and user must let the system to reboot when asking. The number of boot time will be different for different version of Windows.
5. Install the latest version of DirectX available from www.microsoft.com/directx
6. For installation details, please refer to the User's Manual or User's Manual (version 3.0). **Version3.0 manual included installation steps for Genie Wonder Pro TV card with software Power VCR II Pro 3.0**

Windows 98SE / ME / 2000 / XP Driver and Application Software
(WDM driver is recommended for Genie Wonder Pro TV card with software Power VCR II Pro 3.0)

Installation instructions: 

1. After downloading the file, unzip the file into an empty folder or directory on the hard drive. (If you cannot locate the file you downloaded, use the Windows Find command to search for the GTV_WDM_1335.zip program on your hard disk.)
2. Uninstall any previous Genie TV application in the Add/Remove Program feature and also run the RMdrv.exe to remove the driver. Reboot, if necessary.
3. When Windows starts, driver will be required. Then click "CANCEL" and do not let Windows to detect it.
4. Run the Setup.exe program.. Installation procedure will automatically remove the previous TV application and driver if you have not done yet previously.
5. After restarting, please continue to install the softwares (i)~(iv) by clicking "Next" and "Continue Anyway" even if your PC has a pop-up window for hardware detection. (i)"BtCap, WDM Video Cature", (ii)"BtCap, WDM Audio Capture", (iii)"BtTuner, WDM TvTuner", and (iv)"BtXBar, WDM Crossbar".
6. Several reboots may be required and user must let the system to reboot when asking. The number of boot time will be different for different version of Windows.
7. Install the latest version of DirectX available from www.microsoft.com/directx

(Note: Please clean up the contact part of the PCI TV card and change to another PCI slot if you have difficulties on running "TV SCAN".)

*** Driver must be used with Direct X 8.1 or above (Previous Direct X will get result in poor video quality)

1. Power management problem is fixed and the correct audio source will be selected during recording. (GTV_WDM_1335.zip)
2. Bugs are fixed for using "Channel Scanning" on PowerVCR II Pro 3.0 (GTV_WDM_1335.zip updated software)
3. Hardware remote control is functional in use with Windows 2000, and now works on PowerVCR II Pro 3.0 software
4. TV display quality improved in Windows 98SE for some VGA card, for example ATi
5. Full Screen supported without any screen border during full screen TV display
6. Video format are memorized
7. Support third parties WDM / DirectShow application including PowerVCR II

This utility will help you to uninstall your driver completely. (Windows 95 / 98 / 98SE / ME / 2000 / XP)

After downloading the file, double click the file to install the program automatically. Please read the README file during the installation and accept all the terms before proceeding the installation.

System Requirement:

1. Genie TV with PCB number VP-8790 Rev 2.0 or above.
2. The source code has been tested with Microsoft Visual C++ 5.0.
3. GenieTV software and The demo programs must be run with the Genie TV programs. So, Genie TV must be installed first.
4. Genie TV VxD driver version 4.1.8.6 or above, or, Genie TV WDM driver version 3.1.28.0 or above.
5. DirectX 7.0a and above
6. It is recommended to set the VGA to 16bits or above color mode.
7. Sound Card is required for proper operation. The TV sound output can be connected to CD-Audio-In, Line-In, Aux-In and etc of the Sound Card.
