Windows NT 4.0 Driver

Use Win 95/98 driver in NT 4.0. Installation instructions:

After downloading the file, run the 56ewin.exe program (Click here to see a picture of the WinZip Self Extractor main screen). Select the folder or diskette to unzip the file to and then click the unzip button. (If you cannot locate the file you downloaded, use the Windows Find command to search for the 56ewin.exe program on your hard disk.)
Refer to the readme.txt file included in the file for installation instructions. (This file will be found in the folder you unzipped the files to in step #1)

Note: Although the Windows 95/98 driver works with Windows NT 4.0, Zoltrix does not provide technical support for Windows NT including drivers and communication software bundled with the modem.

Windows 3.1x Driver
No Driver required!

Use the FlashCOM update program included with the Windows 95/98 driver to update the modems Flash ROM code to the latest version.

This hardware based External 56K modem model 8FM-56KCLASSIC uses the same chip set as the 8FM-56KRAINBOW without the voice features. The 8FM-56KCLASSIC has a large Flash ROM chip to simultaneously hold code that supports both V.90 and K56 Flex (Dual-Mode).

The ATi3 and ATi6 responses change depending upon the code programmed into the Flash ROM.
