Windows 95/98 Driver

The file contains both the Windows 95/98 drivers and the FlashCom program, to update the modems Flash ROM, which contains the latest Dual-Mode V.90/ K56 Flex Flash ROM code V2.310. The Name in the Windows 95/98 driver and the Wave device driver has been changed back to FMVSP56e to match the hardware name coded in the modem.

Installation instructions:

     
  1. After downloading the file, run the 56e3-2310.exe program (Click here to see a picture of the WinZip Self Extractor main screen). Select the folder or diskette to unzip the file to and then click the unzip button. (If you cannot locate the file you downloaded, use the Windows Find command to search for the 56e3-2310.exe program on your hard disk.)
  2. Refer to the readme.txt file included in the file for installation instructions to both update the models Flash ROM and also to remove the current Windows modem driver and install the new Windows modem driver. (This file will be found in the folder you unzipped the files to in step #1)
  3. Refer to the instructions in the users manual for more details.


 

Windows NT 4.0 Driver

Use Win 95/98 driver in NT 4.0.
Installation instructions:
     
  1. After downloading the file, run the 56e3-2310.exe program (Click here to see a picture of the WinZip Self Extractor main screen). Select the folder or diskette to unzip the file to and then click the unzip button. (If you cannot locate the file you downloaded, use the Windows Find command to search for the 56e3-2310.exe program on your hard disk.)
  2. Refer to the readme.txt file included in the file for installation instructions. (This file will be found in the folder you unzipped the files to in step #1)
Note: Although the Windows 95/98 driver works with Windows NT 4.0, Zoltrix does not provide technical support for Windows NT including drivers and communication software bundled with the modem.


 

Windows 3.1x Driver

No Driver required!

 
Use the FlashCOM update program included with the Windows 95/98 driver to update the modems Flash ROM code to the latest version.

This hardware based External 56K modem model FMVSP56e3 uses the same chip set as the FMVSP56e. The FMVSP56e3 has a larger Flash ROM chip to simultaneously hold code that supports both V.90 and K56 Flex (Dual-Mode) and requires a different Flash ROM program and Windows driver than the FMVSP56e model.
The ATi3 and ATi6 responses change depending upon the code programmed into the Flash ROM.
