Windows 95/98 Driver

The file contains both the Windows 95/98 drivers and the V.90 wizard, to update the modems Flash ROM, which contains the latest V.90 V2.210 and K56 Flex V2.013A Flash ROM code. This version does not support SVD.
Installation instructions:
     
  1. After downloading the file, run the 56k8-V90.exe program (Click here to see a picture of the WinZip Self Extractor main screen). Select the folder or diskette to unzip the file to and then click the unzip button. (If you cannot locate the file you downloaded, use the Windows Find command to search for the 56k8-V90.exe program on your hard disk.) 
  2. After downloading the file, run the 56k8-V90.exe program to unzip the files to an empty folder or directory on the hard drive. (If you cannot locate the file you downloaded, use the Windows Find command to search for the 56k8-V90.exe program on your hard disk.) 
  3. Refer to the readme.txt file included in the file for installation instructions to both update the models Flash ROM and also to remove the current Windows modem driver and install the new Windows modem driver. (This file will be found in the folder you unzipped the files to in step #1)
  4. Refer to the instructions in the users manual for more details.

 
Windows NT 4.0 Driver

Use Win 95/98 driver in NT 4.0.

Installation instructions:

  1. After downloading the file, run the 56k8-V90.exe program (Click here to see a picture of the WinZip Self Extractor main screen). Select the folder or diskette to unzip the file to and then click the unzip button. (If you cannot locate the file you downloaded, use the Windows Find command to search for the 56k8-V90.exe program on your hard disk.)
  2. Refer to the readme.txt file included in the file for installation instructions. (This file will be found in the folder you unzipped the files to in step #1) 
Note: Although the Windows 95/98 driver works with Windows NT 4.0, Zoltrix does not provide technical support for Windows NT including drivers and communication software bundled with the modem.


 

Windows 3.1x Driver

No Driver required!

Windows 2000 Beta Driver
There is no support for this operating system at the current time and no expected release date.

These hardware based Internal 56K modem models supports either K56 Flex or V.90 depending upon the Firmware code loaded into the modems Flash ROM.
Both models use the same chip set and drivers. The difference between the models is the FMVSP56i2 has connectors to connect to the sound cards CD-ROM audio and additional jumpers.
The ATi3 and ATi6 responses change depending upon the code programmed into the Flash ROM.
